National floors can sand without dust

Is dust the problem or the contractor and their methods?

Unlike most of our competitors, National Floors is very conscientious about floor sanding in your home.· When floor sanding is practice poorly, the customer will feel punished. from all the dust that collected in their home.· Sanding hardwood isn't just about the sander, but rather the whole approach to equipment used that supplies the best results for a cleaner home· at the end of the project.·

The tools of the trade

If we talk specifically about the floor sander, the conversation is short.· There are plenty of good hardwood floor sanders or belt sanders out there, so the general rule of thumb is simple,  the wider the drum, the flatter the floor and the faster the job can come to an end.  The difference is, our floor sanders have hook up capability to powerful vacuums.

Our promise to you, the customer

It has become standard practice by National Floors to use dustless technologies on each sand and finish project.   National floors practices the use of dustless sanding from the very beginning to the completion of all hardwood flooring projects.

By using a D.C.S. (Dust Control System) we are able to create a dustless sanding process that removes dust at the source.· These vacuums are powerful  and even a triple hepa/filter to contain over 99% of the dust particulates from entering your home.  Even though we can use the D.C.S inside, we feel keeping the unit outside is the best method of practice for safe keeping your home.  With this method, the moment the dust is created, it is sucked up into our powerful vacuum system and leaves the home without return.· You can see for yourself with video to the right.· There is no debating it’s effectiveness and that is why National floors not only promotes, but is a strong advocate of dust control systems when sanding hardwood floors.·· A true Dustless sanding system.··

Question recently posted: Is a truck mounted vacuum stronger than a portable?

·Great question.· Side by side, yes.· Unfortunately, you have to leave your trailer unit in the street since it is not mobile.· The point is, for about every 50 feet of hose you attach, you lose significant c.f.m. (suction).· On average, a truck mount can use anywhere between 300-500 feet of hose.· Not good for the customer.· That is why we use a huge portable D.C.S.· Even with slightly lesser cfm, we loose zero suction since we don't have to stretch out hundreds of feet of hose and sacrifice c.f.m. in the process.  Reality, if we thought a truck mount system was better, we would own a couple of them.
