I am an architect and have worked with many sub-contractors during the course of my career. National Floors deserves a glowing review. Everyone on their staff was courteous, timely and professional. They respected my home and my family, and took great care to cause the least possible disturbance. They were clear communicators and informed me what time work would begin each day and what the next day's tasks would entail. One's home is a very personal space and I was completely at ease having their crew in mine.

I met Tony of National Floors from http://Blankityblank.com. and he was by far the best flooring contractor I had interviewed. He actually got back into the business because he enjoyed it, not because he "fell into it." And, it shows in his work, and how he treats his customers. I hope this review doesn't get "filterd" because my review is on the high side. I'm writing a glowing review because I have had National floor work on several of my own projects - 2 homes I was remodeling, and my own parent's house. And believe me, on my next project I will be using Tony and his great crew again for my hardwood and carpet.
I have had the crew of National Floors repair my hardwood, inlay a walnut accent to the floor (that I screwed up, so he saved me), refinish several topnail and T&G wood floors, and the outcome has always been beautiful. Tony's prices are very resonable, and he and his crew definitely take pride in their work. Plus, they are always concerned about having a clean job site, which is so helpful! I recommend him to everyone I know when they mention they need flooring work done (even my future inlaws).
When you meet an honest, hardworking and reasonable contractor, and they have done a great job on more than one job for you, you want to repay them in a great review. There are too many people out there doing bad work, or who are unscrupulous. I know, because I've hired a few that were "friendly" and talked a great game. And, of course, those were a nightmare.
Basically, Tony and his crew are wonderful, and you won't regret hiring them. I never have!

Kept us updated each day and any small decision on repair he immediately called us shown the damage and only after our approval he had done the fix to the floor for the items which are not covered in our initial quote. Very friendly and Prompt. We had brazillian exotic wood which is really tough but he checked small part of wood before doing resurfacing. Good Work overall

Awesome work! Beautiful results! We had our floors refinished and by the time they completed the work the floors looked brand new. The price was reasonable, especially compared to the estimates I got from 2 other companies. The gentlemen were professional, showed up when they said they would and completed the work in just 2 days. There was virtually no dust and no mess. The smell from the refinishing solution was strong, and took awhile to go away. But, overall, my husband and I are very pleased with their work and we highly recommend National Floors. We plan to use them again in the future.

I have always believed that when you need to get something done that you can't do yourself, you need to enlist the services of an expert. National Floors is THE place to go for floor refinishing.
We recently had bamboo floors sanded and refinished and had been turned down by a different Fremont floor company, saying bamboo couldn't be refinished. I guess they didn't want our job. Luckily, I learned of National Floors. They called me the very next day to schedule time to come out to measure/quote. The pricing was extremely reasonable, especially when the alternative is replacement. The work was performed on schedule. Their work is meticulous.
This is a top-notch company. Our floors look brand new. We have gone from hating our floors to absolutely loving them. This would be a company I highly recommend and would definitely use again.

I read the reviews on yelp and decided to go with National. Erin came out one morning, looked at the job and said she would have a number for me that afternoon. Sure enough by 3pm that day i had their estimate. That alone sealed the deal being for me just being that prompt. I set a date and Anthony and crew showed up on time and proceeded to get the job done in the exact amount of time they told me. Needless to say the floors look brand new.
I have already given their name out to a couple of my friends. National floors is the real deal, take my word on it.

I was referred to Anthony by two other people and just as advertised, he did an amazing job. I called on a Tuesday, Erin came over on Wednesday to scope out the project, she gave me a quote on Thursday, and a week later it was all done.
Very professional all around. His workers paid an extreme amount of attention to detail, they were great at their craft, and most importantly they were always on time.
No doubt that I will refer others to National Floors as well as return to them with any future needs of my own

Anthony and Erin assured us that they would look beautiful when they were finished. And WOW did they. Now I wish I had ALL of the floors refinished. The team that came to do the work were very friendly and professional. I was concerned that my house would be very dusty with the sanding procedure but there was NO dust. I really enjoyed doing business with this company and highly recommend their work. My floors make my house look spectacular. My husband and I refinished them ourselves (nightmare!) 9 years ago and we just added on 462 sq ft of new flooring. They were able to blend the new floors with the really ugly, badly refinished, old floors so well that I seriously cannot differentiate the new from the old!!!!!!!! First of all, Anthony and National Floors did a fantastic job with our moderately distressed oak floors. My floors, prior to my acquisition of them, had seen 15 years of a 5 person family, 4 dogs, and a disregard for their maintenance. The floor required repairs and some serious refacing due to dirt being ground into the boards and some water damage near the entry ways and even some outright holes. National floors walked through and very fairly quoted me for the work to be done initially and kept me informed when they found further damage I either forgot to mention or we both later discovered(some of the work around the fireplace was...missing or the job had been incomplete) quoting for me on the spot the cost for a full repair or giving me options based on the situation, prior to my acceptance of the repairs. I always felt in control and secure in the knowledge I wasn't going to be gouged by the final invoice when they were complete(which by the way I wasn't).
End result is what appears to be a brand new absolutely beautiful floor and a very satisfied customer! If you are looking for someone who will provide you quality work for a reasonable price I very highly recommend Anthony and National Floors. I will be using this company for all future floors!

Excellent Work, Very Punctual The team at National Floors was very prompt, professional, and they explained exactly what they were going to do and when. The dust-free system worked really well to keep the dust out of the house. Additionally, they were the only company to include everything that we asked for in their bid: termite repair in two rooms, closet refinishing and finishing trim around our fireplace. The floors turned out beautifully. I would certainly use National Floors again.

We removed our 25-year old carpet to find that our oak hardwood floor had both termite and water damage. Anthony did a fantastic job of repairing the damage and refinishing the floor. He is very personable and takes exceptional pride in doing the job right. We also found that his bid was very reasonable as compared to other bids we received. And we were also impressed with how well his "dustless" sanding system worked - there was absolutely no dust at all. He arrived on time and even worked to our schedule when returning to apply the second coat of finish.

Refinishing your hardwood floor will be easy for you with Anthony and his team. Prompt, professional and efficient with everything they do, from the quote through the job. I was initially a bit scared to get the hardwood floors refinished after years of being under carpet. I thought the place would get wrecked with dust everywhere and would just generally be a hassle. That was completely not true. There was no dust with their equipment and no mess at all. In the two stages that the house was done (upstairs and then several months later downstairs) they finished on time or EARLY and the floor are just beautiful now. If certain areas were too damaged to sand and had to have new boards installed (which they couldn't see during the quote due to the carpet), additional work was discussed and approved before anything was done. No impact to the initial schedule and material costs were completely fair. The cost was very reasonable and I am so happy with the job they did. I am so glad I found them to do the whole house. I can't imagine how the experience could have been any better.

In the middle of a thorough remodel, I decided to have to do something nice. Anthony came up with a good bunch of floors and we were pretty overwhelmed. He helped us pick the size and was a smart guy and didn't make any suggestions without doing a sample kit to approve ahead of time.
The best part for me was how professional Anthony was about being able to schedule me and help when I'd messed the schedule. I STRONGLY recommend the guy and therefor the company.
My house which is tiny looks nice given the new, beautiful floor. I sincerely hope he's still around and much bigger when I get me a nice house. It'll get it's floors worked by Anthony.

I recently purchased a bank owned property that needed a little TLC... there was hardwood floors that were underneath some old beat up carpet and I decided to rip it all up and get the floors resurfaced, re-stained and re-sealed. I contacted a handful of contractors about the job and gave the bid to National Floors...they were very professional, prompt and left me with a confident feeling. They showed up on time and they completed the work in an efficient manner... there was no mess and little disruption to our lives and when they were done.... The floors were gorgeous. I am very satisfied and cant wait to have them back to do the downstairs in January or February... the upstairs is almost done, you may not even recognize the place when you come back. Thank you!
